The Alliance for Green Commercial Banks (the Alliance), in collaboration with UNEP and UN Women's joint initiative, the EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies (EmPower) Programme, is delighted to invite you to our upcoming webinar, “Gender Responsive Finance - How to improve gender responsiveness in climate finance”.
This webinar will explore how financial institutions can operationalize gender-responsive approaches in climate finance, aligning with the renewed commitments from COP29's Enhanced Lima Work Programme on Gender. Against the backdrop of a $300 billion climate financing goal that lacks enforceable gender targets, the webinar will highlight strategies to address systemic barriers – including leadership gaps, insufficient intersectional frameworks, and inadequate gender-disaggregated data.
Focusing on Asia’s transition to low-carbon economies, the discussion will emphasize commercial banks’ unique role in:
- Designing financial products that empower women-led climate initiatives
