The policy brief series is intended to serve as a knowledge resource for UN Women, the Government of Nepal, international development partners, civil society, and the private sector to work toward gender-responsive and inclusive post-pandemic recovery in Nepal. The policy brief series includes an introductory part that presents the overarching findings and recommendations for gender-responsive socio-economic recovery, followed by specific policy briefs focusing on gender-responsive and inclusive social protection, the inclusive micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector in Nepal, and the acceleration of financial inclusion for women in Nepal. The introductory part of the policy brief series is based on the key findings of a study ‘Feminist Analysis of the Socioeconomic Impact of COVID-19 in Nepal” commissioned by UN Women Nepal in 2021.
