Thai Youth Ambassadors for safe migration join HeForShe

Date:

Bangkok, Thailand — Fifteen Thai Youth Ambassadors from the Saphan Siang (Bridge of Voices) programme pledged their support for gender equality during their graduation event held on 5th June in Bangkok.

During the activity, the youth activists shared their experiences working on safe migration in Thailand; reflected on lessons learned and presented their community outreach projects.

Following the individual presentations, the young activists participated enthusiastically on a session about the HeForShe campaign raising interesting reflections on how gender equality is essential to ensure women’s safe migration.

“The Ambassadors have become skilled advocates in their communities and universities. Their journeys have been documented and shared within and beyond the campaign’s existing networks, allowing a broad audience to engage in their experiences. These achievements are owed to the dynamism and dedication of the Youth Ambassadors themselves, and the incredible support they have received from their universities and host organizations” said Max Tunon, Senior ProgrammeOfficer and Coordinator for the ILO GMS TRIANGLE Project.
