Date:

UN Women AI School

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the world at an unprecedented pace, and UN Women is ensuring that young leaders are at the forefront of this digital revolution. The UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific is proud to launch the UN Women AI School, an innovative learning program designed to equip gender equality advocates with the knowledge and skills to harness AI for social change, advocacy, and organizational transformation.

Why AI for Gender Equality?

AI has the power to accelerate progress toward gender equality—but only if women and feminist leaders actively shape its development and use. From tackling online gender-based violence to ensuring that AI-powered tools are free from bias, feminist voices must be central in AI innovation. The UN Women AI School is designed to bridge the AI knowledge gap and empower participants to use AI for advocacy, campaign strategy, and decision-making.

What to Expect from the UN Women AI School

The AI School is a comprehensive online program covering:
AI and Machine Learning Fundamentals – Understand AI’s impact and potential in the development sector.
Ethical and Responsible AI – Learn how to mitigate bias and promote fairness in AI technologies.
AI for Advocacy & Campaigns – Use AI to enhance campaigns, storytelling, and digital mobilization.
AI-Powered Productivity – Explore AI tools that streamline workflows and improve work efficiency.
Custom GPT Design – Create AI solutions tailored for gender equality initiatives.

Participants will engage in pre-readings, post-class assignments, and a final project, ensuring they gain practical experience applying AI tools in their work. Through interactive sessions, hands-on exercises, and real-world applications, they will develop the skills to implement AI solutions in their respective fields, whether in civil society organizations, youth movements, academia, government, or media.
