Programmes

UN Women works closely with countries that have ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and ensure its implementation throughout South and Southeast Asia.

In India, UN Women provides assistance to legislative reviews in order to strengthen anti-trafficking efforts.

The assessments also looked at the procedures of the criminal justice systems to address gaps in the implementation of laws.
