Empowering Women Workers in the Informal Sector - A Baseline Study
From agriculture to traditional crafts, rural women sustain the informal sector in a variety of ways. Sewa Bharat and UN Women have joined hands to build the capacities of rural women workers in the informal sector. The project reaches out to 1,000 female farmers producing organic chilli production in the district of Almora, Uttarakhand and 1,000 women engaged in tie and die production in in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
