As the global community contends with the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic slowdown, public discourse is already shifting from response to recovery and building back better from these crises. Yet, while we respond to one emergency, we have another simmering in the background. The climate crisis and ecosystem collapse are not slowing down during this period. Women, girls, indigenous peoples and marginalized communities in vulnerable sectors like agriculture, fisheries, forestry etc. are likely to face more health impacts and loss of livelihoods due to climate change in the recovery phase.
