Mapping of the work of national women’s machineries in Nepal
The study maps the work of Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare (MoWCSW) and the National Women Commission (NWC) on gender equality and women’s empowerment (GE and WE) and highlights improvements required related to strengthening data systems, policy reform, infrastructure, and stakeholder’s implementation capacity. In addition, the study recommends the strengthening of government institutional mechanisms in terms of capacity, resources and outreach to women.
