This Call for Proposal supports Afghan civil society organizations and their efforts towards advancing women's rights and gender equality in Afghanistan, with a focus on small women-led and women's rights civil society organizations.

Only one proposal per organization will be accepted. The total budget per proposal whether it covers one area of work only or a combination of areas of work must be between USD 100,000 to USD 200,000.

The overall objective of this initiative is to support women with disabilities from excluded groups and their OPDs to strengthen their voice and agency to advocate for gender and disability responsive planning, programming and budgeting in line with SDGs at all levels, in particular local level.

UN Women is seeking applications from national and international organizations registered in Afghanistan to provide essential services for women in need and their families, and put in place interventions to address their vulnerabilities and enhance their well-being, empowerment, economic opportunities and mental health.

The project 'Ending Gender Stereotypes in the Classroom' is to demonstrate the potential of classroom activity to change regressive gender attitudes, knowledge and perception of children, teachers, staff, and parents. It aims to look at how and to what extent the activities on gender stereotypes shifts students and teachers' attitudes and beliefs around restrictive gender norms.

This is a call for a proposal for Civil Society Organizations to act as a Responsible Party (RP) and as a grant-making entity. The timeframe for implementation of the project will be 9-12months. The RP will manage and will provide technical support to CSOss/grantees, which will include grassroots organizations. The total budget for the RP is $1 million and the grants to be provided to CSOs/grantees will range from $10,000-$50,000.
